Title: km/h display on Mark 6 screen
Post by: Steve309 on 13 March 2018, 21:16
Hi all - I'm a new starter here so please be kind!

I've recently picked up a 61 plate Mark 6 GTI and all seems well, apart from one slightly odd unit display on the screen between speedo and rev counter. Any idea why it would show as km/h?

I can't find anything in the settings or MFD options. Not a major one but be nice to see it in m/ph.

Trying to add a pic but it won't let me - cos I'm new maybe?

Thanks all.

its because you only have mph on the speedo and you need to have both kmh and mph visible according to some obscure regulations. older clusters would have them both printed around the speedo dial. can't be changed with the mfd but the coding can be changed with vcds to display a large digital mph display in the centre.

If you take your car to Europe or other country where speed is measured in km/h, the digital km/h display will help ensure you keep to the speed limits.
