How cheap can I get them done do you think? Just the typical smart sh!t that flakes off in a few months tbh.
Will have the tyres off as the damaged alloys need tyres anyway.
Just totting up doing it myself (I have a few spray guns, one's actually decent) would just need silver paint some primer and lacquer or paying.
I'll be respraying the side of the GFs car soon anyway plus my MK4 bonnet so will need supplies but depending on how cheap I can get alloys done, my time might be worth more.
Not after a super quality job!

why not do the job right and have them powdercoated will cost less than 200quid an they wont need done again if they are done right :whistle:

£200 would be do it myself territory.

or 30 quid on some rattle cans an a few hours prep

I think you wouldn't get it under £40 a wheel as no company would do a sh!t job and put their name on it.
Just quickly rib down and spray. Easy and fast.

Hm £40 could persuade me but they're all easy wheels, quick DA, thick primer and some silver paint I guess.

Probably get slated but who gives a sh!t.
Some £1-£2k "cars that need flogging on.
If they look good it helps. Not anything any sort of car enthusiast will buy, the alloys will likely be kerbed in the second week of ownership and they will look better than they do currently. Anything I spend means less profit.

this is were you need to just bite the bullet then an get them done right :wink: if they are powdercoated any customer sticking a pressure wash on then wont take it off but if you paint them chances are they wont last long an that cant be good for your rep :smiley: and any wheel company local will surely give you a discount if your sending them enough work

The paint won't come off with an 80,180,240,400 grit sand up then a prime up. Will be 2pak as I'm not buying cellulose as well as 2 pak and 2pak is better anyway.
It will just be done fast which means tiny little indents won't be messed about with for too long.

just go to halfords and but some paint, primer and laquer, doesent cost much.
cost me £8 (Mates rates) for 4 primer, 8 paint & 2 laquer and a fook load of sand paper and wet and dry
took me a day to prep wheels and paint them too a pretty good standard too. wasnt really bothered about them that much cause they were only winter wheels, took them to get new winter tyres on shortly after and said to the guy if the paint scrapes off im not botherd cause there only home painted, came out fine.
cant complain for £8, were still in good condition when i sold them, just the centre caps had a bit of wear from where i stood on one and scraped it along the floow :grin: :rolleyes:

Contact Inspraytion wheel refinishers, they're local to us mate...Strood I believe. They often have discount offers on basic colours for a set of wheels £150.

Cas coatings.
From £1 an inch for blasted and powdercoated, cheaper than painting them yourself, Better finish too!

It might be cheap to buy the paint and do it yourself, but if it takes you a day, that means you're not earning money doing anything else in the mean time. It makes paying £200 seem cheap when you look at the bigger picture.

Nah I'll just do it myself, getting them shot blasted for 20 quid and a quick spray up and everyone happy.

Where are you getting them shot blasted, is that general public price?

Nah a customer supplies to a place up in Purefleet and a guy said slip him 20 quid and he'll do them with some other stuff he's doing.
