I got the car around the 15/03/11 - Leather, 18" monza, winter pack and a few other bits. (colour coded bumpers and skirts)

The car came remapped by angle tuning(removed).

Next job was to install the r32 brakes, makes a massive difference, would recommend these to anyone.

Then got a bonnet bra from America, but still not sure on it.

Things to do,
Whiteline Anti lift Kit
S3 turbo kit
THS intercooler
Anti-roll bar kit
Highline computer
RCD510 DAB
BBS LM Alloys
LSD
Full Miltek system, with r32 arse
(Will be things i have missed, I have all the stuff just need to fit it)

Should be all done by the end of June :D remap should make 340bhp

I will try update as much as possible :)

I set my self a small goal today,  install Evoms intake/ heat shield & Open air intakes

The day started with a normal looking engine.

I then went about stripping the engine ready for the intake install.

Intake installed with heat shield.
Took it for a test drive and the sound was metal, so was very happy :D.  Run vag-com, no faults so all ways good!

I then went about changing my vents for open air vents.

Should help with the heat soak!!
I might install the THS intercooler tomorrow.

Fitted my RCD510 With DAB today!

Removed my old RCD310, and started to test the RCD510

Noticed I could not pick up any DAB radio stations and the connections where not the same on the back.
Had a look online and found I need a different aerial and connections.
I modified my old connections by removing the casing off them.

I then stuck some tape on the back of the connections to make sure they don’t come out.(Temp solution)

Tested and worked fine, but going to get the correct aerial so I can pick up more stations.

I also need a new CAN Gateway due to battery drain.
I have ordered one off ebay and will reprogram with vagcom when it comes.

Well today was not fun!!  I had to change my CANBUS due to battery drain from my RCD510!

I had a look on the internet and found where it was located, directly above the clutch pedal!!

I started by backing up my CANBUS install list via Vagcom ( the nice easy bit!!)

Will add pictures here : P

After smashing my hand up I got the bloody thing out (PIC new V old)

Location

Then reprogrammed the new CANBUS, and started the car.  Dash lit up like a Christmas tree, saying faults with anything. :(

Did a full scan removed all the faults and corrected my errors.
Took for a spin, and cleared last faults, car is now happy! :D

Well i had 4 hours spare in my life yesterday,  so I thought I would install my THS intercooler!

The day begun by me stripping a few bits off the car and also removing the bumper,

I then removed all the IC pipes and found myself a nice little boost leak in the process,  the stupid C clip and slipped off the connection and was sucking a small amount of crap off the road!!
( was so happy there where all going!)

Once all the pipes were removed, i had to remove the front panel!  This part was rather interesting. I had to balance all the rads with one hand while pulling away the front end!  Job done after a few magic tricks.
I supported the rads with some axel stands and went about removing the standard IC from the rad pack.

Then new V old!

Then i installed the new IC in place

Then put all the back together!!   Witch was the easy part :D
I took the car for a test drive and she now makes a few more air sounds and also I can trash the car all day long with no heat soak!!

Next job is to install the turbo and full system,  Then remap :D 360BHP here we come  :-o¬

Well I have not updated this in awhile!!

I have not done allot with the car as I have had so many problems with my remap  It has been back and forth to AMD that could not correct the problem .  The remap has been removed and I dropped the car off to r-tech! So fingers crossed she should be rock and roll!

I can then get back into modding the old girl again
