Title: High revs when lights are on

Hi all, having a problem with my mk1 golf gti with a kr engine. When you turn the side lights on the engine revs to about 2500rpm? Any ideas?

Have you got the box that controls the idle in the loom (under the dash, two relay size square plugs). These fail, try in plugging it, if it makes a difference it's probably this...
