That was a bloodly long day! Set off at 6am on the train to Perth  7 hours later with a head ache from screaming kids I get to Perth.
Got to the dealers and had a good look at the cruiser and its in very good condition, so commence the paper work...
One and half hours later and am now the owner of a Land Cruiser and set off on the 650km drive back home.
Got home at 11.15pm!!!
And to say am impresses would be an understatement, its very quiet, smooth, comfy and quick (for a 2.5t car) but f**king drinks the juice..... :lipsrsealed:
Driving back to Perth Sunday to collect the things I shipped over back in January, will be taking a trailer with me. Never towed before to Ill jump in at the deep end and do a 1300km round trip with one
Ill get some pics tomorrow once Ive washed off the 10000 bugs on the windscreen.
-
Can't wait for the stories to come back from this towing expedition.

Should be fun....luckily I dont have to go right into perth and the way home is one straight road for 579km's!
-

-
its only 2m hight...
-
well I made it, 1371km's round trip, 14 hours of driving and incident free
and it used both tanks....
Things to buy:
seat covers
rubber mats
bonnet protector
wind deflectors
On the list but not for some time...
All Terrain tyres
2" lift kit
snorkel
dual batterys
hard spare tyre cover
fridge
and then am set for some proper adventures
-
It's like a small house on wheels
-
piccies with the trailer or it didnt happen
-
No pics as I was too busy navigating the Perth traffic  and then the 7 hour drive home.
And now am on site for 8 days so its parked in the works car park get home for 1 day and am flying up to Port Hedland for a week. At least a tank of fuel is going to last me a month
-
So the trailer thing didn't happen then.
-
Trailer did, i wouldn't have got it all in the back of the cruiser. Lets just say my reversing got better over the trip... :lipsrsealed: oh and taking up 4 car parking spaces in the hotel

-

-

-

This is Steve, he doesn't do sensible. . . . . . .
-
Probably a bunch more money, too.
-
Because unless I go to Perth or away camping the most am going to drive is 10km around town, diesel is 10c more expensive and the diesels are about 5k more expensive to buy.
Also they suffer from injector failure and at $1200 a injector its pricey.
The V6's are pretty bullet proof :lipsrsealed: (touch wood) and 70bhp more
It looks urm....big!!
About the same size as a Range Rover
-
Bought some fitted seat covers and sand catcher matts for it, Ill get some pics once am home.
Also had to replace the battery, managed to get one for $99
Things to buy:
seat covers
rubber mats
bonnet protector
wind deflectors
HID headlights....(they're legal over here DH )
7" HID spot lights
On the list but not for some time...
All Terrain tyres
2" lift kit
snorkel
dual batterys
hard spare tyre cover
fridge
Also been looking at getting a trailer...might be moving 2000km away and need to take my things with me. But with anything over here trailers are f**king expensive and they got to have their own road license and plates.
Might wash it next month if its lucky :lipsrsealed:
Last couple of pics Ive taken
