Brilliant time.  I was down to around 8.45 in my S3, but was at a pace that I was relieved it was all over.

What is the spec of your mark 2?

Mike

2.0 ABF engine, DIY GSXR 750 Throttle bodies with Megasquirt 1 V3 ECU. Was on the rollers a couple of weeks ago and gave 149HP at the hubs.

02a Gearbox, with Quaife LSD. 288mm Brakes, SPAX RSX suspension, standard front ARB, no rear one.

Car has been built and tweaked over the last 4 years and I`m really pleased with how it is going now. I stopped timing after that lap, there are a few corners where I carry more speed on some laps, but overall, thats easily the quickest lap I`ve recorded. Did an 8.28 and 8.26 the day before, both those were with passenger too.

I`ve done about 1,200 laps of the ring, that definately helps

The legend that is Nige Pinder.

The car is epic, the build thread is epic and the driving always seems to be bob-on, too.

All I need to do it make up another 30 seconds per lap and I'll be all over you like a rash - how hard  can it be?
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Good power from those mods.  That will be circa 185 at the flywheel will it not.  That time though is still fantastic.  I was expecting a much more exotic car to be honest.

For people who have not been thatis time will not mean much. For people who have....wow!!
