Installing Speakers

Hi all.

I want to install some new speaker into my Golf Karmen clipper but it doesnt look like i have many places to put them,

Has anyone upgraded their system and can give any advice,

you'll have to build  your own door pods for the fronts as the original speakers are tiny in a mk1. same goes for the backs. best bet is a set of 6x9's on the shelf. after hearing Rich's this works even if the shelf is down.

Andy,
I have fitted a range of speakers in my cab.
I have -
In the front doors - 15cm in the pockets (late cabs have bigger pockets to fit speakers( and tweeters in the door cards
In the rear cards - Kenwood 6x4 - direct replacement for OE
speakers
Parcel shelf - 17cm speakers, but will soon be moving them to a custom boot build.
Boot -two 8" subs, and a range of amps.

As you can see, there is plenty of scope for speakers, its just a case of tailoring to what you want.
I went for quite a large set-up so as I am still able to hear the stereo when the roof is down.
