8 gauge wiring kit
« on: 08 October 2004, 18:06 »
Just got hold of a 2000w amp, in the manual, it says it should be run on an 8 gauge wiring kit.
Does anyone know where to get one without costing an arm & a leg??

8 gauge is tiny. halfords probably sell it.
my 2x90w genesis takes 4 gauge.

i had a 2400watt rms amp and i used 0 gauge!! bastard to fit but well worth it. forgot to mention most amps dont take 0 gauge you get a distributor block feed the 0 gauge in to it and 4 gauge will go from dis block to  ur amp if ur going for 8 gauge the wire will probbably overheat and in some cases melt depending on wattage. need any advice give us an IM
