The entire world is a Money Pit, you just have to pick yours.

MK1 Black From The Dead (Bodykit Finished P65 & Quattro Bonnet P68)
My Favourite Audi of all time, the Group B Quattro

Always wanted one but i'll have to stick to the golf.   However i've always fancied the bonnet for a MK1 if the rest of the car would suit it.  I think the way i'm heading with mine it will.  I've waited all my dub life for this at the right price and then I found one by chance!... Travelled to the other side of the earth to get it!

It's been in a barn for a very long time, once part of an early MK1 VR6........ Now it's mine.... Long story short, I was very very lucky to get this as it was already sold but then the buyer couldn't be ars*d to go the distance to fetch it.  It needs a lot of work!... its made from Aluminium and Glass Fibre.

It's got more of a pronounced bulge than the original but I like it.

Vents are functional, I don't like the silver mesh, the other vents mesh is damaged.  The bonnet catch was ripped off so that area is damaged, so are the points to bolt the hinges.  The mounting nuts for all of them are rattling inside. It's scratched to fook and is rough around the edges so I will have my work cut out when the time comes.

As a venty type bonnet it looks pretty cool. Hope it looks good on the car.

I'm sure it'll look wicked after a few days weeks of cleaning/repairing

Ha, yeah but don't we all.

Don't think they made one like this for the golf.  It's a home brew and once a very good one.  I couldn't meet the guy who owned it, spoke to his dad, their barns were phenomenal, car heaven!  He told me the story and said he had this specially made in the mid 90s to a certain spec, ie not just fibre.  From what I understand it has an ally frame and skin, so not quite as light as fibre on its own but stronger and much lighter than OEM.

As a venty type bonnet it looks pretty cool. Hope it looks good on the car.

I hate venty bonnets, lots of barry boys have gash evo copies etc... This in my eyes is different, its from the same era and from a quattro and I will make damn sure it looks good....

Oi cheeky! I can't touch it till I've finished the rest of the car, this will be a post MOT project, needs more than just a clean, it needs stripping, repairing and repainting.  My major concern is the fooked mounting points and catch location.
