boot struts for the bonnet, tracking done and adjusted my induction kit and spent a few hours cleaning, vacuming and polishin and finally picked and ordered some coilovers  :smiley:

Replaced all the standard speakers with alpines :cool:.

new fuel filter, ordered 2 new rear tyres.
Wouldn't be fun if it was easy, but does it have to be this much fun?

fitted a pipercross panel filter gave it a hoover ot and then a good wash before it got dark  :laugh:

Oh and we did replace his steering rack and he ported his throttlebody while he was here, too.

Removed the ghey rear diffuser that prev owner fitted with about 20 rusty bolts.
Made a bracket for re hanging exhaust and raised it about 3in.
Removed rattling heat shield, replaced other broken heat shield.
Changed panel filter/ spark plugs....

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.

No worries DH, it's part of the learning curve and sometimes risks are worth taking for the benefit of the future. Now both you and Danny and myself know  :smiley:

did porting the TB make much difference?


with the help of horney today...

on the mk3
cleaned the TB
cleaned and did a temp repair on the oil breather pipe
cleaned the air filter housing
checked the fitting of a strut brace  :wink:

on the mk1
replaced a couple of gear linkage bushes

with the help of guy today

on the mk3
changed the spark plugs and HT leads
enjoyed a spirited drive to clear the system  :evil:

on the mk1
replaced fan belt
replaced side flange  :smug: and topped up and checked coolant
drove about, top down, with some old skool chooz on with Nick to pick up me beeatch  :cool:

tomorrow - cleaning both inside and out  :smiley:

Replaced a blow out on my tyre :angry:, finished painting engine cover and fitted my new rubber mats  :cool: :grin:
