Was working today and in tomorrow so no shows. Still got the streeeeeeeetched tyres on and the tidy rear bumper. No one told me how fooked your knuckles get when attempting to get the front bumper bolts off! Airgun struggled and then used a hugh modified bar for it! Will have all panels on soon.....................

replaced rocker cover gasket again, good thing I had a spare!
I found 1 of the studs was loose and thus leaking oil, probably from the last time it was replaced
Used a fresh bit of the fuel hoses on the fuel filter, the end bits that had been clamped in place were a bit worn, so cut it short and jubilee clipped them back on.
bodged the "correct" bolt I got from VW with a 13mm nut & some thread lock  :lipsrsealed: I'll be calling them Monday to find out WTF happened to it being the "correct" bolt   oh and adjusted the alternator belt.

That little lot seems to have solved the WIF light flickering when booting it!

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

Swore at it again, or more accurately cursed all previous owners who've dciked about and bodged wiring.

I will solve the central locking issue.... tomorrow...

Sorted the windscreen blowers and stuck skateboard grip tape on the peddles. Much improved wet weather visibility and peddle grip. Lovely.
