150 miles, 2 1/2 hours, 1 traffic jam, 39 mpg, aircon on, 60mph average, Dartford Tunnel, 1 bottle of water and 12 jelly babies. Got home and realised I'd left my beer at my mates. So I bought some more!  :evil:

rewired a connector to the crankshft sensor as one of the wires decided it would like to be corroded and snap off at the end. new metal water pipe as old one had sprung a leak, resprayed lower rear bumper black because it had decided to turn old and go gray.  cleaned all the windows properly and got sticker marks off rear and both side windows (been meaning to do this since I got the car) and adjusted windscreen washer spray nozzles so that it hits the window! :smiley: not bad for a days work. here's some pics of bumper, before and after =)

replaced both front wings  :smiley: car just looks a bit odd now as the front end is all nice shiney new paint and the rest is still to be done

gave it its first wash, put my new tax disc holder in, ED30 gearknob, new red bulbs in the footwells, GTI inserts in the handles,
And put a jellybelly red airfreshener in, definately the best smelling one out of all of them!!!
Oh, and filled her up and finally got to test 6th gear on the motorway...

I completed the build on my interior, everything is now back in place, washed, cleaned and polished, and not one single screw, nut, or bolt left over  :laugh: :laugh:

My exhaust doesn't have the correct hangers to keep it on, jubilee clip FTW until the rubber broke, I then had it on temporarily with zip ties :lipsrsealed: which broke before I could get it fixed. How annoying!!!
