Spent
all afternoon on the drive doing an 8v mk2 thermostat change from hell!
Bolts seized, couldn't get PAS pump off for ages, had to drop the whole thing out on the brackets
. At least the stat housing bolts came off ok this time and I didn't end up breaking the water pump. Mind you she warms up a treat now and gauge sits in the middle, hardly registered at all before, but now no heater at all, was at least luke warm before
I sense a binning of the heater bypass valve is going to be the next job.
