Missed it greatly!  Fed up with the Audi manual now.  Have abused it a little doing all the things I wouldn't do in my own car.

Have taken great pleasure in driving it through massive puddles and parking it slap bang in the middle of the crowded works car park, sandwiched tightly between two other cars and right under a tree.  When I returned to it 8 hours later, it was plastered in bird crap from roof to wheels!   Might not even wash it right until it's time to hand it back and then I will take it to the swirl inducing auto car wash!
That's like taking your car in for a service and getting a loaner. Park it and don't care about it. It's liberating

 It is!  Though I still felt obliged to clean the bird crap off asap!  Some habits are hard to break.

Took delivery of some Audi TTRS front brakes and calipers. Probably should have checked to see if they will fit under the BBS LM's first, but I guess its a good excuse for new wheels if they dont?!? I am trial fitting them next week and then sending them to these guys for an overhaul and paint in Brembo red- ill post some pictures up when they are on.

Your map should still be there really. The map it wrote to the ECU and doesn't disappear if the battery is removed. It will only have been removed if they have wrote over it.

Rear brakes are quite worn so went out and bought some Brembo rear disks from GSF and Textar pads from ECP today. This is the combo that I'm running on the front and they work really well with no squeals and are lasting well. It was on my hunt for disks that I discovered GTI's from 2011 onwards actually have smaller disks than before; 286mm for 09-10 Mk6 GTI's vs 272mm for 2011 and later. Bit weird but they still work fine and it's a bit less unsprung mass i guess

Should have them fitted at some point next week.
