I would like to but my old imacs only have USB 1.0 so transfer rates are slow as hell. If I shot stuff in RAW it would take days to upload stuff.

All raw is is the pure digital data from the sensor with no conversions or manipulations. This means in PS you are able to adjust the exposure better and it makes combining HDR shots easier as you can do it from just the one shot. All that said if it's badly over or under exposed you still can't fix it.

I always shoot RAW. So much better than letting the camera do your image processing. :)

Probably got lost in the "Great Crash of 08

I always shoot RAW. The control you have over the shot is fantastic. The RAW processing programmes can be a bit overwhelming at first but you soon develop your own workflow and use the options you need. Photoshop one is awesome.

It gives you complete control over the development of your pictures. Plus any processes that you apply to the shot in RAW have a better effect than on a compressed format. Downside is that shots take a huge amount of space up.

I tried it on RAW over the weekend, it just seem a bit crisper and it takes a sh1tload more space up

and everytime you edit RAW it doesnt take pixles off that are not seen to the naked eye like what JPEG does, with JPEG if you edit and save it too many times then you will notice the image quality getting worse and worse.
