Idling issue

Hi. My 1.8 T doesn't idle, it just drops down to 500 rpm when i think the anti stall kicks in and flicks the revs up, for them to drop off again. Only had the car a few days and only done one trip of 60 miles. Any ideas? Thanks

Check the MAF sensor on the car. Disconnect it and see how it idles. Otherwise run a diagnostic on to get the fault codes

Have had your dodgey scanned or VAGGED I like to say
. Mine sits a bit high on cold start for few seconds then it drops to normal. I thought of couple things like mapped ecu reading the command from mapp etc or secondary air pump has given up / coz there dead reliable on 1,8T

As stated in the thread vag com is best option

sounds like an air leak. Check all of the breather hoses over including the ones under the inlet manifold
