help...I have an issue with my passat and the maf sensor. It doesn't make a difference to running or performance if I unplug it altogether and I'm still getting 35-40mpg and the only obvious thing is it lacks power low down and can seem to hold back/hesitate under 17-1800rpm with it plugged in. Are there any tests I could perform or cleaning etc?
shamefully it has a mainly audi maf and there expensive and special order otherwise I would of tested one! (why can't my cars be a common one?)
any advice welcome (b.t.w it's a 1.6 Ahl motor with a hitachi maf number of 058 133 471)
