I wouldn't go so far as to call it detailing but it's a full snow foam, 2 bucket wash and dry off effort

Nice work Kalimon.  The gloss is really lovely.

I brought the GTI caravan home to wash the winter 'green' off it.

No pictures today, but here's one from last year, as it looks just the same.

Imagine a detailing section where members don't bother posting recent examples of their efforts.  Dull place indeed.

After wallowing in a month of winter salt, grit and grime, time to give it a wash and protection top up.  Also checked coolant oil and windscreen wash levels and tyre pressures.

The stuff:
Raceglace Filter - DI water for all washing and rinsing
Auto Finesse Citrus Power
ValetPro Bilberry Wheel Cleaner
ValetPro Advanced Neutral Snow Foam
Swissvax Car Bath Shampoo
Swissvax Quick Finish Detailer on bodywork
Obsessive Detail Clarity Glass Cleaner
Obsessive Detail Clarity Rain Repellant
Gtechniq C2V3 on wheels
Mothers Mag and Aluminium Polish on tailpipes
Achem Hi-Shine Longlife Tyre Dressing on tyres
WoWo mitts, towels, applicators and microfibres

Snow foamed

Rinsed off, and ready for the bucket wash

Washed, dried, and protected

Really need to get the rusty hubs painted this spring!

Then straight back on mum taxi duty

And after all that, time to defrost with one of these...

Thanks guys, it was nice to get the muck off, it was starting the look Carbon Grey but without the shine! Nice to see that pearl flake for a change, was beginning to think it had disappeared for good, lol.

The day will come Watts and it will be worth it, even if it is shortlived!

Today could be the day for a good wash (not for me, that's next week). Thought I'd start off with a powerful jetwash at a local garage. Gave the wheels and tailpipes a spray with Bilberry wheel cleaner first then 10 minutes of soap then rinse. Result? Looks exactly the same  Still, hopefully a few layers have come off and it'll make the post lunch round a tad easier. A couple of goes with snow foam I think should lift some more before a thorough wash. Or maybe tomorrow.
