Title: Battery drain

Hi, I have a problem with my 2006 Golf GTI. After it's been parked for 36 hours the battery has drained so flat the centre locking doesn't work. I took it to a garage and all they could tell me is something was turning on and off randomly and pulling 3 amps, but it doesn't happen straight after taking the keys out.
If anyone has any ideas I would very much appreciate it.

Aftermarket stereo or a newer one like RCD/RNS510 fitted?
