major prob with abs(fixed)

abs came on lst cleared with vagcom and went out in it today and it started to make 1 hell of a noise like the abs does when it kicks in.

so i pressed the brakes and it judds like the abs is kickin in and it was strugglein to stop.

any ideas

cud it b me senor that has gone didnt have time to check it will have to do that tomorrow.

My first guess is that a sensor ring on a hub may be at fault. I have seen this fault when a sensor ring cracks so the gaps are uneven this sends an uneven pulse signal to the abs ecu. I would also check that there isn't a loose sensor and there is no dirt or foreign objects on the sensor rings between the sensor.

these are just a couple of things that I have come accross. But it may well be something else. What foult codes were in the ABS?

rite the problem was when i lowered it 2 wks ago i 4got to put the abs wire back on the strut.

so the wheel was rubbering on the wire and it cut throught it so just cut the wire and jioned them bk togather 4 now till i get some cion to buy a complete wire.
