Any help will be much appreciated. I have a 1994 Mk3 Golf 1.9 TD (AAZ) It has recently been over heated. Bottom radiator pipe was cold so removed Thermostat completely, It starts fine, temp still moves up rapidly, fans do not come on till very hot (has new Thermo Switch) noticed a little bit of oil on old switch when replaced .It bubbles @ the fill bottle with cap off. I am currently trying to find a DIY head gasket tutorial for this engine. Also what is the likely hood of the head being cracked and the best way to determine if it is the gasket or head without removing. There is no water in the oil. Cheers
