Snow foam recommendation
« on: 16 January 2018, 12:23 »
As per the subject i have used the Auto Finesse and recently demon shine (*hangsheadinshame BUT Ultimate Shine was closed between xmas and new year and i needed some desperately)  :embarrassed:

So the Auto Finesse i found just ran off very very quickly - i want one that sticks like glue to the car i am using a karcher snow foam lance pretty sure i cannot adjust the water passing through if i can someone advise how as i dont see where there is a wee knob on the bottle/lance but no quite sure what its for

Also need it for this weekend so want to order tonight anyone aware of any offers anywhere ? last 2 orders were from Slims but no deals on at the moment and really only want bilberry and a snow foam

TIA

Top two ime are:

ValetPro Advanced Neutral.  1L or 5L

http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washing-and-drying/foam-pre-wash/valet-pro-advanced-neutral-snow-foam/prod_1087.html

and

Bilt Hamber Autofoam 5L

http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=1165

Imo,VP just edges it performance wise but BH is excellent and great vfm.

As an alternative, VP Citrus Pre Wash has superb cleansing.  I use it in addition to and after snow foam (particularly in winter), but it can be used instead of, and applied via a snow foam lance or a pump sprayer.

With the snow foam:  Aim for a snow foam coating that is thick enough to cling for a few mins but thin enough to run off taking dirt with it.  Don’t aim for one that sticks like glue, because that’s all it will do. And a shaving foam consistency is not what you want either as this sits there doing not much other than softening the dirt, you want it to do that but then to run off the car.

VP Advanced at a ratio of 1:8 or 1:9 for maintenance washes as this is sufficient to cleanse without adversely affecting protection.

This is what I aim for with VP.

I think you are very restricted as to what you can do with a Karcher snow foam lance.  Invest in a proper snow foam lance that gives you full control.  These two are the best, both made by company PA.

^^ The lance is great. Not tried Magifoam myself. Hear mixed opinions on it.  Worth a shot though.  It’s the same lance plus snow foam as I linked to in my earlier post.
