Not sure i'd have been wanting to pick up a new car today. I picked mine up in December, in the dark and in heavy rain. It's barely looked anything resembling clean since it left the dealers forecourt.

I was originally supposed to pick mine up today but as it was built much earlier than planned I picked it up at the start of Jan instead. So glad I didn’t have to pick it up today. It’s all tucked up nice and clean in the garage instead  :grin: :cool:

Was all fun and games picking up my new GTI yesterday in the snow and ice  :grin:

Any advice for a new GTI owner (e.g. change of tyres etc.)?

Well in all honesty I wouldn't swap the tyres unless you have money to burn. Which wheels do you have?

If they're 18's with Bridgestone Potenza's, they're not the best in winter but will probably be OK once the weather improves. If you really struggle then a better solution would be to consider a second set of wheels shod with decent winter tyres.

Of course if you do have money to burn then you may wish to consider a set of Michelin PS4's.

New arrival!

Performance pack, white silver, Santiagos, leather, keyless, reverse camera, and trying the Plug & Play soundbar over the Dynaudio pack I had last time (it was the difference between a stock car and a 1 week wait or a factory build!).

I love love love the colour... it looks pretty white on these photos but in person it’s definitely more grey.






Collected on Thursday 29th March - 500 miles down so far, almost time to open the taps!  :laugh:
