Front VW emblem Mk7.5
« on: 06 November 2019, 14:43 »
Hi all, is the front VW emblem a complicated thing to replace, having the ACC behind it? A guy I know has had an incident with a flying feathered friend which has left his badge damaged. No issues with ACC currently.

Cheers

I BELIEVE that the badge just comes off, and nothing is actually attached to it.

There's a YouTube guide on Deutsche Auto Parts showing you how to exchange the emblem Jim.  The emblem seems to just clip off using a screwdriver.

I saw that but it looked like the old style Mk7 badge not the smooth one?

Really surprised no-one is able to help on this. Nothing online either. Odd.

Have you tried viewing the new emblems on ebay for both Mk7 and MK 7.5.  Some sellers show pics viewed from the back of the emblem which looks like a lug at the top and two indents at the bottom.

The front VW emblem is easy to replace, open the bonnet you will see a small hole just above the badge put a small flat bladed screwdriver in and push down. If you buy a new badge you will see which bit needs to push down  , I had to replace mine due to chrome coming off. They are not cheap to buy, you will not have any problems with the radar which sits just behind the badge .VW remove this when making adjustments to the radar.
