New Members section
« on: 19 July 2004, 16:21 »
I have noticed we have a lot of new members sigining up and not really getting the oppurtunity to introduce themselves, or  just landing themselves in a Mark specific forum and not getting to meet everyone else.
I have seen other sites have a "new members" forum, where it is obvious to the new members that they can say hello and write a quick pen-picture about themselves.
Because, at the moment, we do not have a place where they can obviously say hello, some may not get as warm a reception as others have done in the past.
I think this subject has been brought up before, but as the club is now starting to become more of a community, I think we should start valueing new members even more.
I don't own this anymore - I just can't be arsed to change the picture

Good idea. I remember when I first signed up I kind of just started posting without introducing myself (first forum I ever used so didn't know the etiquette  :-[), but maybe that's just because I'm an ignorant get !  ;D
