Good PS skills there, but TBH lowered cars to me just look as if they're carrying 300kg of cement in the back IMHO, the golden rule is that there should be an even gap between the top edge of the tyre and the wheel arch all the way around. That's how the factory builds its cars, whatever the size of the wheel. Uneven gap = messed around with/drug dealer look

Edit: let me re-phrase that so I don't offend. For your boggo Golf 1.4 maybe. For an uprated car, they always lower the suspension. Plus take a look at a side-view of the Golf R, or a 911 GT3, etc

Mind that car has been lowered 50mm. Don't know how that would compare overall to the GTi?
