I have a stage 1 remap, with new Decat Downpipe and Induction kit, i don't know whether to get stage 2 now or get a Ko3s, would the gains if i remapped now be worth it?

You'll have to forgive my ignorance, But on a 2001 Golf would the turbo be a Ko3?

stage 2 k03 is pointless. They can and will be maxxed on a simple remap with no mods.
Confirm your engine code prior to deciding what to do.
