Mine clicked over the 30,000 mile mark last week. That will be 4 years old in January.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Too many cars is my problem. Hope to reduce down to half the amount in the next 18 months.  That will meen the mk6 is used ~9 months of the year.

Because I have 7-8 garage spaces

3 cars are 50-60 classics. Going to sell them this coming year.
I have another car I use in the winter. (Inherited this one a year ago or so)
Another I use for trips to tip/dirty work. (My previous winter car)
Then my two GTIs.
Not worth fortunes but still too many imo.

Going to reduce it to 3-4
Daily driver
Winter car
Classic car
Maybe a sports car if I sell my 5 car garage location for housing. Then have money left after building a second double garage at home.

Not as bad as you maybe thinking..
3 classics Free tax.  insurance for them comes to about £500
Winter car is £140 a year tax and iirc £280 Insurance
Dirty car £120 a year tax and about £250 insurance
GTI mk1 been off the road for a few years stored at home (no costs)
GTI mk6 £195 tax iirc £320 to insure.
No ive not added that all up  :embarrassed:
But if I reduce it to 3 cars it will be cheaper
