Thanks jv
Welcome to my wee space on Golfgti.co.uk I will try not bore you.
I bought my Edition30 late after they were launched(Nov07)I had prev owned a MK4 GTi 180 3dr but needed a 5dr car so i sold it and looked at the MK5 GTi as soon as it was launched but was put of by the black plastic on the side skirts and bumper plus the interior didn't help either. So i waited and in the end bought a MK2 Seat Leon FR TDi, i really wanted the ED30 but my head ruled and deisel economy won, it was nice but it couldn't cut it performance and mod wise so with time running out it was of to VW.Order placed with an 8 week date for delivery of my Steel Grey 5dr Edition30 with Armrest, Ipod Prep, Lux pack.Arrived mid November.Dealer was Western - Gorgie road Edinburgh.

Now the fun bit
After about 2k on the clock it was a trip to Star Performance to see about a remap, I had read loads about the other maps avail but settled on GIAC not many VW's mapped on here by them but a lot of Audi's and Seat's have used them and gave favourable reviews.Main attributes for me were It didn't add to the flash count, dealer close buy, updates free, switchable.I opted for 'Pump' and 'Race' on the flashloader as well as the cars 'stock' file.

I took the car to Crail 1/4 mile in March but the ECU did not have time to adapt to the new map, and double d with my rubbish driving i only managed a poorly 14.770sec, reaction time -  0.701 sec, term speed - 95.9mph
room for improvement.
Now for some cosmetic mods.

I have been trying to keep the car OEM looking as possible, I looked at the changing my audio and bought a RCD500 from ebay but i wasn't impressed, it took to long to load cd's and made a bit of noise too so it was taken out and i returned the RCD300.I am looking at purchasing the RNS510, MFD2 or maybe an aftermarket Kenwood unit.

going to be busy now, recieved my R32 front brake set up £205 from ebay came with discs, pads and gaurds too, the donor car had done 5k miles, i have done about 4.3k so not much of a difference. i am going to clean them up and paint them red

and still waiting to fit air intake.Shout to Greenouse for finding them on ebay

update to follow.

I have been a bit lazy recently so got my ass back into gear, here are the R32 brakes after powder coating.I didn't like my painting so powder coating was the only option.

Next it was the fitting of the Dbilas intake i bought from RobMK5.I did not realise at the time that Rob had the Ko3 turbo and i have the Ko4 so school boy error on my part.So i had to source some bits to fit the DV pipe for the Ko4, I contacted Dbilas and Regal but the were taking to long to advise me so i turned to the forum members here and Neg pionted me to Igor on SeatCupra.net.He advised to purchase this from Forge http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/content.asp?inc=product&cat=0022TP&product=FMTP-60 and a pipe connector too.

Nice bit of kit, very good quality

forge pipe and connector.
My only issue is going to be heat soak, so i will need to purchase a heat shield, as this was very hot on a recent 1/4mile day.

Next a Autotech High flow fuel pump, strip the internals of the existing one put the H/F one in and job done, you can feel the dif, very worth while with the remap.I also fitted the S3 Intercooler again the dif between this and the ED30 one is night and IMO.S3 one is all alu and carries a bit more weight compared to the plastic edged ed30 version.
