Never seems to go down too well on here but here goes anyway. Whoever mentions  TD1 or insurance first goes on the naughty step.

Revo, APR, Unicorn, MRC, VWR.

Custom Vs Generic.

Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3.

Who's got what and where from? Anyone had a map on a previous car they'd recommend? What the power delivery like? How did fare long term? Are the MK7 GTi safe enough to remap with them only having an IS20 turbo?

Opinions please.

I had a Shark map on an Octavia, and they were a great company, but don't think they are trading anymore?

APR seem to be really popular in the US, but a lot of Revo dealers about here.

Wide, A forum member, has a BSR Remap which looks promising.

I had Shark on my Fabia. Ben is now part of VWR based in Milton Keynes I believe.

They've released a map called OEM+ but there's not much info on it.

You might be less likely to have warranty issues with a dealer having VWR OEM+.

Knowing how VW like to wriggle out of any sort of warranty claim I wouldn't hold my breath. The OEM+ software does sound appealing. http://vagmanchester.com/vwr-oem-performance-software-remapping/

Ben is great. He basically remapped my Fabia for free and told me to pay him when I could as I'd just been made redundant back in 2009ish

Was he still in his old unit then? Just a small place where you could just about fit one car in?  :smiley:
I went back to have other work carried out and he had the new premises. Its only about an hour from me.

Forum member Wide in Sweden has one of these and reports it still feels like stock but much quicker. I've got price in UK and with PPC unit and delivery it £499. Quite like the fact you can remap it yourself but it's not a plug and play tuning box.
