Title: New member, HELP NEEDED starting issues with my golf when hot

Hi all new to the site and just joined as I’ve been given a mk3 1.8 automatic by a friend.
It had a couple of issues and needed an mot. Passed the mot having had some wiper blades and a back box so was very happy with that.
Look for HELP with a hot start problem.

The car starts and runs absolutely fine from cold, but once upto temperature the car struggles under load and coughs and splutters and cuts out. The car will not start it just turns over.
There is i fuel through the carb once it’s hot?? But it’s getting fuel from cold as it starts fine???
Any help is much appreciated

Crank sensor would be my guess
