Bora Drivers door and central locking issues
« on: 23 January 2016, 17:42 »
Soooo, my bora has started playing silly sods with the drivers door and central locking. It started with the car not recognising that I've opened the drivers door so after a minute of inactivity it locks itself again, with this it also doesn't turn on the interior lights or the courtesy light in the door which is a pain. But now it won't unlock the rest of the car when I double tap the remote. I've tried new batteries just to rule that out but I'm starting to lose my patience with it......

New batteries won't solve your issue.

One or more micro switches in your door lock are gone. Theses switches can be replaced.
Find out with measuring blocks (VCDS) which are faulty, then replace them. It's a bit of a fuff to replace them but cheaper than even cheap new locks off ebay, plus the original locks are much better quality than the stuff of ebay.
