so what problems do people experience with the splitter then?

engine management light / loss of boost and performance

i got a splitter valve on my AUM which everyone says you shouldnt do but i havent had any problems! I havent experienced loss of boost as i took the trumpet off and put the blank plug in to change it to fully re-circulating an if anything it felt slower??!!! makes an awesome tssshhhhh with an induction kit too :P

is there a bit more info on fitting a recirculating valve for the 1.8T.agu engine. as my engine looks diffrent to the one on this thread. the last owner tryd fiitting a non recirculating valve.

WTF is going on in your engine bay  :grin:

Looks like he's just relocated the DV to the cold side. the two pipes that are plugged are where the original Recirc DV would go...

From what i can see. you'll need to put the bottom part of the Forge DV into the plugged hole on the turbo intake pipe, then you will need to source an original hose from where the blue plug is and plug it onto the side of the DV. then you'll need to put the blue vacuum hose onto the nipple at the top of the DV (where it already is) and then plug that hole where he's relocated it...
