Advice for a newb please. Presently I have some Monza 17s on my Golf and was looking to upgrade to the beefier size 18s. What is the max width of wheel I can fit without any arch mods. 8J? and any recommendations for where to shop. Looking on ebay for a set seems tricky as its all single spares. Cheers!

I have 18" Monza on mine from new and they are the same width - 7.5J. Need to be very careful about quality of second hand ones as they are £100 to refurbish as I discovered a while ago when I curbed one avoiding an idiot in the middle of the road and they show every little scratch. A lot of people had them powder coated because of keeping them pristine so the number around may be limited. Not sure where to suggest to look apart from ebay. Have you tried the German ebay sites? Delivery is a bit expensive and more difficult to return if damaged. Should be OK with 8J and offset of 40-45.

So I'm pretty sure I want to now bypass Monza 18s altogether and jump from 17 to 19inch wheels.
BUT will 19s fit on a tsi without rubbing. I have it lowered with eibach springs.
Seen some good discounts on Yokohama tyres online which was my initial sticking point as the 19s were so much pricier than the 18.
FYI wheel i'm going for will probably be the carbon grey fox ms007 et 45 8.5j

Are the 18in Monza's on my MK6 ET51 Offset? 7.5J I assume too as above.

If they’re genuine VW 18” Monza Shadows then yes, they are 7.5Jx18 ET51.
