POWER HOOD/HEATED SEATS
« on: 22 May 2003, 17:58 »
Got a 92 Rivage a few weeks ago, power hood was working perfectly. Stopped working, checked & topped up fluid, still no-go.
Relays are clicking when switch pushed down. Friend of mine has exactly the same problem with his cab.
Anyone any ideas?
Can I run a live feed straight into the motor to see if it's working?
There is a two bladed connector with heavy duty wires, one Red & the other Black coloured anyone know which is power feed from this or what both do?
Anyone got a simple wiring diagram for this & heated seats, Haynes useless as usual.
Heated seats not working at time, anyone else had problems or can help with wiring diagram?

Regards Nick

I had a similar problem on my '91 sportlines power hood.
Found that the 12v live feed to the switch was not there when the ignition was off (as it should have been). easily remedied with a 12v tap off of the cigarette lighter supplys, to the switch. It is worth checking your switch feeds.
Hope it helps as summer fun is no fun in a hardtop when its hot ;D!!!
