I honestly think it was Top Gear mag.
I remember them joking about how the supplement was disowned and never to be spoken of again as back then Top Gear was very BBC and middle class stuffy posh crap and this pull out dealt only with Hot Hatches what compared to the usual tweed wearing jacketed readers of the time was quite a contrast. It was early to mid 90s.
It was only a one off supplement. Could possibly have been another 'stuffy' mag such as What Car. IE not or anywhere near Max Power.
I wonder if anyone can remember it. Wouldn't mind picking up a copy for nostalgic reasons.
