« on: 29 July 2003, 23:46 »
Greetings to all  , just wanna know if anyone knows where i can get my 1.8T (180bhp) chipped.Cos all these tuning places just do the 150bhp version.Oh by the way this isn't the anniverary model cos here in Ireland we sell both the 150 & 180 bhp version, also the 2.0 is not called the Gti ( too slow to be call that!!).    Thanks

Hi chip.

I've also got a 180 golf (non anniversary) and i'm thinking of doign the same.

Have a look at REVO (they've got a website - do a search for it).

They can even do you a trial of 5 hours to see if you like it. They don't remove the ECU, just plug a lappy into the serial port and upload some new settings.

About $400 - 500 for an increase to 210 - 220 bhp. Not bad eh!

They did a review of it in some VW mags a few months ago.

Jaba sport will take you all the way up to 400bhp if you want, ;D
only thing is you have to spend mega bucks getting brakes and suspension up graded

Had Revotechnik do the remapping on mine (150 BHP ) two months ago...... Absolutely brilliant.  Catches a few V6 4motions out!!!!!
I'm sure that they can do the same on the 180 BHP.

Give them a call on 01327 301901, I'm sure they will be able to tell you.
