1.8 turbo boost

what should a standard 1.8 boost at and how much can u turn the boost up before problems?
deleted rear wiper, black front and rear vw badges, debaged golf/gti, 17"tsw alloys, rear tinted window with silver tint on top, golfgti.co.uk stickers, 10mm spacers on rear and 6mm on front, silver painted engine covers........... coilovers on there way

Dont "turn up the boost" you will fook up the engine - Get a remap  :wink:

AGU = You can turn the boost up to about 10-12 psi and the fuel and timing be safe as the fuel and timing is based on air drawn via the maf.

AZR AUM AUQ = You cannot turn up boost, you will get throttle cut and N249 cut, if you could turn it up I would be fine running 14psi on the stock mapping but its how you get the throttle to stay open and how to stop a hard cut limp mode.

You are correct as most people would try and wack the boost right up then hit limp mode or cause issues realtedn to fuel and ignition which can melt a tip of a spark plug, but keeping the added  boost within reason should be fine on AGU, as the limp comes in when the maf reading kg/hr exceeds the limited amount in the map. 

Its fun trying it on an AUM as the more boost you add the less the throttle opens....

I'd leave it to the pro's of the 1.8t tuning world - you get a lot of map AND security for your money  :wink:
