Hmmmm, not too sure about that huge Kiddie-Catcher on the front.
I've seen too many ARSE - S Escorts, and Supa-Novas with it on.
I think they have taken the look and made it too naff

dunno, i think it will grow on people, and if its an optional extra from vw it wont be pants, but i know what your saying adam! washing up bottles and egg boxes and sticky tape, a few 'boy racers' in skeggy have em on, and for some reason they are all in grey primer!

Ah, yes, Skeggy! popped through a couple of times in the summer, Fish and chips by the roundabout, watching the ford clitoris and peugeot one'o'd1cks doing circuits. Why dont they get out on the country roads, there is some great back lane thrashing to be had out there - or maybe the blue-tac and PRICK-stick isn't up to taking it past 15mph
Now cruising through the town with my top off straight to a seafront parking spot - the epitamy of east-coast cool british style, ;D

Perhaps - But I don't agree about the mk4 chap.

I like the 3dr mk4 because it was instantly recognisble as a descendent of the mk1 (with the obvious mk3 dimensions) - the C post was a work of automotive art - the 5dr didn't capture the eyes when viewed in profile as much)

This new 'car' (not a golf) is just to similar to the new SEAT they (VAG) are  parading at the moment - the Audi A3 has matured, so why the step back with the mk5 Golf?

And that bodykit does it no favours.

IT may be a grower - but only so much as mould grows on a lump of old cheese.

IMHO

I think it looks quite cool... yes a bit Corsa-esque and for a new car its an old design.

.....But its a start...
