looking at the prices of new front wings cause I've got a bit of rust underneath the arch

VW - £102 + VAT
GSF - £26.50 inc VAT

on the actual galvanised body?? MKIV came with a 12 year anti-corrosion warranty; maybe worth pushing that.

those prices are probably true as GSF usually stock 'pattern parts'  w

what you'll find is that they may not fit properly and you'll spend more money at the bodyshop getting them to fit.

is it on the inside coming out or the outside rusting in??

if there's rust on the inside then i'd say push for it.  If its rusting on the outisde then i don't think you'll be covered.  It had a 6 year paint warranty but obviously only if any damaged was repaired and not neglected

does it really? on my V reg i have rust bubbles starting to come through underneath the rear window, how do i go about sorting that out?

ive never seen one rust like that before, must have had a chip and got water in? mine has a slight bubble where my front mud flap used to be, cause more damage than protection
