Having moved out of town for the first time in my life. I got to drive on ungritted roads, and displayed a remarkable lack of talent by ploughing straight over a roundabout. Luckily I just scuffed a wheel.

Well "baka" does mean "fool" in Japanese

Look, its the best we can do. After Brexit we can't easily import snow from the Alps to create ski slopes

Took my previous R out when last snowed badly thinking would have some advantage over others and it was like bambi on ice and had to abort, its definitely all about the tyres in terms of grip.

It’s a shame many of the ‘Chelsea tractor’ drivers seem to be unaware of this.......

I think it's the majority of 4wd owners unfortunately. They don't seem to realise that on snow they still won't be able to stop.

... it worse that that. The extra 1/2 tonne weight means Chelsea tractors will have much longer braking distances especially on snow and ice.

Did anyone else see the video of a Golf GTI and a Polo GTI. The Golf was faster, but the lighter Polo was able to stop several car lengths shorter in the dry

I'll see if I can find it.
