Maybe the light sensor has started to go HR?
Alternatively, can you look at someone else's car and see if the levels are any different? It could just be your expectations are not what the car does...

The light sensor? You referring to the sensor next to the 7 on the dial?

If that is what seems to effect it, either covering it or shining light on it.... sounds like the levels of light its reporting are wrong.

I have a 2014 if you need any pictures from mine?
Don't really use the dials much, I set the screen in the middle to show my speed the day I picked the car up and I've never changed it
