1.6 engine mount help....
« on: 11 November 2008, 20:19 »
Fitting a mk2 1.6 to my clipper soon. Bought all the mounts for a mk1, ready. The one that goes behind the cambelt, can it be fitted without taking the cambelt off? Any pics of one fitted would be great!!!!

pretty sure it can yes, the bolts are in front and behind it.  you may have to take the metal plate behind cambelt off, theres a metal spacer behind here that needs removing from the MK2 engine.  if its part of the tin plate you'll have to pinch the one off your old mk1 engine after you remove it.

Well, bit of an update! Positioned the engine in today and it's hanging on the battery side gbox mount, the front knuckle type mount and two axle stands! It started tipping down! Getting there slowly though!
