wastegate actuator

anyone done this with the turbo on , or do i have to drop the turbo.

You have to take the manifold off which means dropping the turbo about 2 inches but you don't have to take the downpipe off or any water lines and only the oil line on the top of the turbo due to it being in the way of one of the screws holding the actuator bracket on

seen you can drop the turbo by removing the downpipe, iv a turbo back system with a flange going onto the middle section so think this would be easier than risking snapping my manifold bolts, 13 of em lol

You can't get to two of the bottom nuts on the manifold without first dropping the turbo anyways

klkl, didnt want to have to take the mani off lol, just a quick one on the actual actuator, the rod, does it screw into the actuator until its tight, when i tried to move the bottom nut on the flapper the whole rod was just turning (yes i undid the top locknut lol) didnt wanna mess with it too much.

also can the turbo be dropped with the oil and coolant lines attached, dont wana disturb things if i dont need too.

yep, the top oil line is the only one that needs to be disturbed but that's due to the screw for the actuator bracket being so close

unplugged my n75 valve and went a quick spin down the street, was only getting just over 2 psi, was holding tho lol

cranked the waste gate a bit and getting 4psi now :) lol, i believe 6 is the stock actuating pressure so will turn it up another few turns tomoz and see what happens.
