Mk2 indicator dash light glowing!!!

just replaced the indicator relay on my mk2 with a new relay however the green light on the dash glows all the time!!!!
indicators and hazards work perfect!
does anybody now why?

Mine does the exact same under the exact same situation. I just ignore it

was it a genuine vw one ?
if it bugs you that much put the old one back in 
would the new one cause grief at MOT time though ?

Mine was replaced for the MOT, on the morning of MOT indicators startedvla suing double time. Turned out was relay. The MOT station had no issue with the new relay and dash light

it wasn't a vw one it is a Topran replacement one!
think it might be a bad earth so going to check this out as I dont like the idea of this green light on all the time, just means there is something wrong!!!

Had same problem myself ....windscreen resealed and problem now gone also check back light units aswell for damp/wet
