The Blues a good colour but I'd rather have Silver or Black.   The alloys would come later on anyway......I'll see what happens tomorrow :smiley:.
Yet another quest begins to find the right car.

When looking for a GT TDI myself, almost all just had 'TDI' on the boot just like the one I bought.
I was over in the Isle of Man last week (with a Nissan Almera hire car :angry: :angry:) and I saw many 'GT TDI' badged golfs - did this depend on the supplying dealer.
Thought it looked quite good, might get one myself.

You can tell if its a GT by looking at the sticker in the boot (under the carpet) a GT has 'highline' on the sticker.

I bought a GT badge from the VW dealer - they come as a 'GTI' but you just remove the 'I' - the letters are separate anyway.

around £8 - cheaper than on ebay as well.

mines badged up as a GT TDi??!! always has been. bought it in Cardiff about 4 yrs ago now
its a 110 bhp, the first ones out i believe, but its got a 5 speed box unfortunately  :sad:

like Rhyso said about how to tell them apart.. colour coded trim , smoked rear lights, leather wheel/gear knob, elec windows etc etc
hope you get a good one  :smiley:

(make sure the cam belts' been done if its a high ish miler tho')

MK1 1.5 GL Auto restoration....coming along slowly :-(
its not the winning that gives me pleasure....its the taking apart
