Fantastic Economy
« on: 31 March 2006, 15:27 »
Just returned from Wales, 160 mile journey. MPG average 59.1  Tank is nearly empty but have so far covered 570 miles on this tankful. Seems much better since caryying out the EGR recalibration mod.

Didn't go above the speed limit at all. Most of the journey was M4 at 70mph.

Must admit, I didn't let the tank get too low.

Just had my GT TDI130 serviced for the second time.  Had been thinking the Mpg was getting worse (down to an avg 48 mpg) but now its back to 52 - 55 mpg

Shows the benefits of a good svc (its what I tell my missus as well!)

I have only had my TDi 130 for a week but noticed that my very hilly 16 mile journey to work on country roads, I get an average mpg of 45, travelling a much flatter route to Dundee at the weekend (about 25 miles) pushed that up to 53mpg.
