Dear Andy,

       Good day !
Thank you for your interested in our products !

For our headlight kit , it needs special to make for UK.
The MOQ is 10 pairs .

I hope I will become your best friend from China !

We are looking forward to establishing longterm business relationship with you soon !
       Thank you very much !

Best Regards,
Amy

So we need at least 10 orders!!

Has anybody tried these yet ?

They're the same lights as sold by the guy who spammed the forum a bit the other day http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/new-VW-GOLF-MK6-R20-STYLE-HID-Xenon-Complete-Projector-Headlight-Kit-NEW-RHD-UK-/150670293007?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2314a6380f

Nice mark up from the original Chinese price!
I was going to give them a shot if I could have ordered one set from China but they wanted a minimum order of 10. The fact that they're not E marked (insurance issues etc) and that my insurance was going up and up on my last GTI each time I added a modification I decided to just jump ship and get a car with factory bi-xenons in the end.
So my xenons ended up costing me a good few grand!!

Thanks for the replies,  I think I will pass on this one and look at getting a car with them fitted from the factory next year as its a big outlay with no guarantee of a good return,  I am loving being back in a GTI though :)

Hi guys,

Sorry to bump an old thread.

New member here. Been doing a lot of snooping around this thread whilst attempting a xenon retrofit on my mk6.

So far i have installed the units and had the car coded, the headlights work great.

I then moved on to installing the main beam shutter wire which took a long time and involved a lot of sifting through forums and some re-wiring to extend the adapter trigger wiring and in the end i got them connected to the CECM.

But i can't get the high beam to light up!

I have checked my wiring and connections, cleared fault codes but still nothing.

Does anyone know what i've missed?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

ps as far as im aware my CECM should be up to date, car is 2011 (61 plate) and i have R led tail lights retrofitted and fucntioning fully.

I doubt the CECM will have the pins connected for the Xenon shutters, so it will need to be replaced with a version that supports it.

This is my BCM part no. BCM PQ35 B 110 0651

Fault codes I'm getting are along the lines of

01495 bulb for high beams left (m30)
010- open or short to plus

01499 same as above but right (M32)
010- open or short to plus.

You reckon my BCM just doesn't have the pins in it? Can I put them in? Maybe a stupid question...

You need the rest of the part number as well.

This is mine

   Part No SW: 1K0 937 087 E    HW: 1K0 937 087 E
   Component: BCM PQ35  H+  103 0575

If your part number ends in 086 instead of 087 then as Steve says it won't have the pins for the high beam shutters and you will need a new BCM.

As far as the install is concerned it is relatively straight forward except if you want to add the AFS function which will require you to attach two wires to the CAN bus. This is made at the CAN controller which is located deep in the dash above the drivers footwell behind the BCM.
