Hi All,
I have a fault with the high beam assist on the GTi that has been going on for a year or so.
When the lights are set to Auto and I push the left stalk forward I get the following error: 'Fault: Light Assist'. High Beam Assist doesn't work at all.
I've taken the car in to two dealers and one other major centre to get this fixed but each time they've said they can't diagnose the fault. I get the impression that either they don't have the right equipment or its too much trouble to fix.
Surely it must show up on the diagnostic test?
Has anyone else had this problem and managed to get a resolution?
I've checked for any obstructions to the sensor and windscreen damage etc.
