CD Player Trouble
« on: 17 November 2014, 21:05 »
Hi all,

It's been a very long time since I posted anything on here!

I think my CD player (OEM) may need replacing. There is no sign of any power reaching the unit and no response no matter how many buttons I push. I have checked the main fuses on the right hand side of the dash (little flap accessed from the side with the driver's door open), but I cannot see anything there that appears to be linked. The CD changer still has power and accepts and ejects discs, so I think the fuse in the actual CD player itself has gone???

Is it time to get a new CD player?

Take it out of the dash and check it's all connected up first.

I think there is also a fuse exposed at the back of the unit, so check that also.

Thanks JV,

I'll purchase some universal radio keys over the weekend and have a look.
